“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven"MATTHEW 5:16
We’re told that the universe is ever-expanding. Still, stars appear to be stationary. Oh, they seem to move, but it’s an illusion. Only the earth is spinning around its axis and orbiting around the sun. Stars stand still. This is not true for us. God’s stars, enlightened with
Christ’s Light, are bodies in motion—shooting stars. I don’t mean to imply that we burn out. God’s eternal promises assure us that we will never do that. Rather, we are on the move—stars sent to draw others into the orbit of our Son of Righteousness.
You may not feel “on the move.” Old bones may ache. That matters little. Even the smallest movements can be gestures of God’s clarion call that bids all people repent, renew and rejoice. Wherever you are, you are God’s sent and shooting star! So shoot ... and
SHINE!
Send me, Lord, in big ways and small, to share the
light of your love. Amen.
Count: Count the number of people you come in contact with this week. Spread the light!
